The Warfighters is a military/espionage themed sandbox that draws thematic inspiration from realistic military fiction and draws insight from actual military sources. Focusing on the world of special operations and the intelligence communities that work with them, we aim to offer an authentic world for our stories, while still honoring and respecting the inspirations for them.
As you can see, From the Shadows is a military-themed, real life action collaborative writing/roleplaying board. It is set in present day, focusing on the units, operators, and agents that make up the world's special operations and espionage elements.

Nope, a passing knowledge or just a passion to play is enough. We provide everything you need to know!

What kinds of characters are you looking for?
We accept military, civilian agents, and civilians (as long as they are related to the military in some way). Please check out our Recruiting Drives section/want ads for specific ads!
How old do I have to be to join?
The board is rated 3,2,3 by the RPG-Rating system, you must be 18 to join.

Character Creation
Characters can be male or female, must be at least 18 years of age, and must be in the military, a contractor, or otherwise associated with the military (civilian family, spouses, etc are allowed).
Operations
Operations are boardwide plots with either one mission or multiple sub-operations. Planning is done and sign-ups are held prior to mission launch. After launch, you can sign up for the next phase or section of the mission.
